3-Day Selous Magic Safari

Selous is one of the largest game reserve areas in Africa and is a beautiful and majestic place. The game reserve has a large number of animals and birds including lions, elephants, giraffes, and the African buffalos. Selous also provides more activities compared with other parks. These include bush walk safari, boat safari, game drive, and camping safaris. Boat safari in the Rufiji River in the afternoon is another great way of game viewing. This park is now known as Nyerere national park.

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve and Boat Safari Adventure in Rufiji River.

Trust Tours And Safari will drive you from Dar –es- salaam to Selous Game Reserve (now known as Nyerere National Park). It will take almost 4 hrs to arrive. Late afternoon, you will head for a boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River. You will discover the Rufiji River by boat, encounter hippos and crocodiles in good numbers. You will also see almost 350 bird species that have been recorded in this Game Reserve. You will return to the camp for hot bath and dinner. This is a private accommodation and very pleasant from feedback by previous visitors. The local Chef here is amazing with his special dishes.

Day 2: Full game drive

This is a full day of game drive enjoyment and it will begin after your breakfast. You will enjoy your morning game drive when the animals come out in search of food. You will then start game drive with packed lunch box till sunset. This will enable you to experience authenticity and beauty of African wildlife. Selous Game Reserve is the largest in Africa, covering 54,600 square kilometer. Reserve is famous for many elephants. You will also see lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, bushbuck, impalas, elands, baboons, zebras and greater kudus. Excursions by 4x4 vehicles will permit you to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of the park.
In the afternoon, you will have a picnic lunch break where your guide will select a location with shade and water nearby to watch animals coming to drink and the sounds of birds singing and chirping– a place with a clear view all round.

Day 3: Morning Walk and the journey back to Dar es Salaam

Wake up at around 0600hrs (with packed breakfast) for early morning (Sun rise) escorted walking safari with armed Ranger at the heart of Nyerere Park. Later on, you return to your lodge for check out after a nice breakfast across the Rufiji River (the longest river in the country) and driven back to Dar es Salaam.
